Starting out as an Assassin

Finally took the plunge walked to a futureshop and bought AoC. Installation took quite awhile but it was worth it. I also thought my rig wasn’t setup well enough to run it but I guess 3.0 ghz and 4gigs of RAM added with dual 8800GTS was overkill :)…Alright the account setup was a fairly easy process also it allowed me to see how much control I had over my subscriptions. Funcom did a good job on this as I find other account management web pages to be over cluttered and a navigational horror.

The intro was good and I could see why all the other blogs I’ve read mentioned the game being a resource hog. Finally logged in and ready to go, I read the instruction booklet a bit and chose my class I ended up being a Stygian Assassin. The combat controls were a little weird for my liking so I changed them to use numpad as hotkeys. after a few hours 3 as an estimate I decided to turn in for the night feeling satisfied with my newbie progress. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be a semi-newb and less questions…
